Hawa Sliding Solutions is a Switzerland-based global market and technology leader for sliding systems on buildings, in buildings, and on furniture. They needed a new product configuration web application as the existing solutions were outdated and no longer matching their business needs.

We conceptually designed and developed an innovative web application that improved their business processes and enabled them to work in an agile and cost-efficient way.

Client situation

In 2017, two sister companies: Hawa and EKU integrated into Hawa Sliding Solutions. Both companies had separate databases and product planning applications. As a result, Hawa Sliding Solutions needed a new planning tool that would help them introduce their merged and reorganized products to the market.

Additionally, each time they wanted to add a new product family, Hawa Sliding Solutions had to make a costly investment in external software development services.

To propose the best possible solution, we carefully analyzed all the associated business aspects and use case scenarios. Our engineers invested a significant amount of time and effort in a deep understanding of the product development specification.

For example, our engineers learned about AutoCAD and studied the ways to digitally read, analyze and process the .DXF files. It allowed us to map out an alternative solution, that was more comprehensive compared to the one Hawa Sliding Solutions had originally requested.
